What is CHS Lawn Bowls?

New South Wales Combined High Schools (CHS) Sports Association oversees the provision and administration of sporting pathways in NSW public secondary schools. Lawn Bowls is just one of over forty sports within the Association. There are several events and pathways open to students who attend associated schools. These include:

NSWCHS is divided into ten regional Associations which administer their own events and selection processes. The Associations and their Conveners are:


EVENTS

What events do CHS lawns Bowls run and how do we get involved?

Singles & Pairs Championships

Players nominate through their regional Association who will select their representatives using their own criteria. The event is held annually at Warilla. The 2016 event is 8-9 June. Nominations close 24 March.

schools knockout triples

Schools nominate ALL Knockout sports in September for the following year. Each regional Association runs their own competition in a format of their choosing. CHS control the State Final 16. In 2016 this will be hosted by Blacktown Workers 15-16 June.

state carnival

The ten Regional associations compete at a venue on a rotational basis. Each Association will hold selection trials and take 8 representatives (two teams of fours) to the event. The 2016 State Carnival is at Soldiers Point 9-11 August. CHS will select up to 15 players to represent them at the Exchange Event at Port Macquarie 13-15 September.
